ILAPSC Training Continuing Education and Attendance Certification Policy
Attendees of an Illinois Association of Problem-Solving Courts (ILAPSC) training event who wish to receive continuing education credit and/or a certificate of attendance must meet the following steps to receive credit:
- Attend the course for the entire duration of the course
- Complete the course evaluation following the completion of the course and before the announced deadline for evaluation completion
- Alert ILAPSC of any needed reduction in attendance time credit due to late arrival, early departure, and/or significantly long breaks taken during the session (attendance time of a difference of 7 minutes or more from scheduled session time require notification)
- Technology issues or other issues causing an attendee to be unable to meet these requirements must be brought to the attention of ILAPSC prior to the announced deadline for completing a session evaluation
During the annual ILAPSC Conference, each session constitutes a course and individual evaluations must be completed for each session attended. Failure to follow these steps will result in no credit issued.
ILAPSC Training & Conference Financial Hardship Policy
The Illinois Association of Problem-Solving Courts (ILAPSC) is committed to providing high quality training and education programs at an affordable price. Attendees who would like to attend an ILAPSC training program but are unable to afford the registration fee may apply for a full or partial waiver of the registration fee. For courses costing over $500, any attendee that qualifies for assistance will receive at least a 50% reduction in the course fee. Attendees may submit a letter requesting assistance. Said letter from the requesting attendee must clearly demonstrate the financial hardship and state the specific amount of the waiver sought. The letter must be signed by the requesting attendee, state the training or conference they wish to attend, and be received by the ILAPSC office at least 15 days prior to the commencement of the course. The granting of a waiver is strictly at the discretion of the ILAPSC board and will be awarded only to qualified attendees on a case-by-case basis and only when space is available.
Correspondence should be sent to Matthew Kindler, Conference Coordinator, Illinois Association of Problem-Solving Courts, 1643 N. Alpine Road, Suite 104, Rockford, Illinois 61107 or ilapsc@ilapsc.org.
